Any ideas how can i solve this? i cant live without my animes, movies and series :(

Sorry guys, my bad, my old mplayer was installed with checkinstall and named main, and it was the source of all evil, just uninstalling that and reinstalling mplayer solved everything!

Ok. i m not crazy, i cant watch xvid anymore, even installing or recompiling mplayer, it runs, but slow as hell.

Anyone knows how i can fix this? it happened after the last xorg update, everything was perfect before that :(

I am having this problem as well.

Pavillion dv1000 notebook, XGL+compiz installed.
0000:00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02)

It installed fine, the interface runs fast, but somewhat glitchy (I will post on that later).

However, video playback is slow as hell indeed. Tried both mplayer and mplayer-nogui, Any pointers?

I am now going after win32-codecs, lets see if it works.

Regards,
BM.
