New to Ubuntu, anfor games

well i found out the hard way that all my games don't work with ubuntu, i'm a windows guy but my friend got me to put ubuntu on my new computer. and now i cant play anything. but i'm new to this whole Linux thing so maybe i'm just missing something. is there like a list of compatible games, or maybe a list of un-compatible?

Most games won't work in Linux as most games are build for Windows.
That said, there are some games that run Linux natively.

That said; It's possible to get some window games running in Linux.

Some games may take some work to get running while others is seemingless running out-of-the-box....and others wont run.
