Hi,
I have flight 4 installed and have not been able to get Streamtuner to work. I get an "Unable to connect to Host" error notification. Also since I updated this afternoon, Synaptic quit working also. It comes up and does everything up to the "Apply following changes" Window, then when I click apply It just disappears and nothing happens. Worked OK yesterday. Anybody else having this one?

hrm...I have streamtuner installed and cannot play anything through it, but I can use it to start streamripper. Not sure what the cannot connect to host is about, but it does that on mine.

Synaptic is quitting for me in the same way: the app disappears when I click "Apply".

I installed Flight 4 today to a new partition, my first Dapper installation, having used Breezy until now.

i just installed streamtuner and streamripper ... and synaptic still works fine for me on flight 4

I had the unable to connect to host for shoutcast ... but then again even firefox wasn't able to connect to www.shoutcast.com at that moment... it seems to be working now

I can switch back to my Breezy partition and streamtuner works fine when I go back to Dapper It won't connect. Also it's not just shoutcast that's not working I get the same result no matter which stream I use.

Did this ever get resolved for anyone? I can't get Streamtuner / XMMS to connect to Shoutcast or Live365 streams. Even after installing every XMMS plugin under the sun.

Anyone any ideas?

It seems to have been corrected in later Updates, However for some reason if you have compiz installed, XMMS will not work. So far that issue does not seem to have been fixed. If you have Compiz, then you have to go to the Shoutcast or Live365 Websites in your browser and play them through Rhythmbox. I have a Live365 station playing on XMMS through Streamtuner right now. No Compiz though. Maybe in Edgy Eft?
