True Combat Elite punk buster error

okay well i keep on getting a punk buster error on true combat elite it says punk buster needs to be enabled and it is, but still i cant connect to rooms with punk buster and rooms with out punk buster i cant connect because the maps dont download and i got the same problem for Territory: Wolfenstein

I think you have to update punkbuster. Look that page and run the updater.

I would love to know if anyone has ever played tce at all on Ubuntu. I have tried off and on for a few months and I have never made it work. Always punkbuster problem. F$%king lame. Urban Terror is fun. I just wish there was one Ubuntu developer who could explain it and have it work on a Ubuntu Karmic 64, AMDx2-64 with 8gb ram, nvidia 9600gt. Wouldn't it be great if you could go to Synaptic and Download it and then start the game and then get to play like Urban Terror? I am crazy, huh? We should be made to grovel for it and then sulk away defeated. Is cool. I am used to that. And I wonder why I cannot convince my WindBlows friends to switch. They get to use their PC's instead of reading about what might make them work. I like posting here. I feel better already. And I still haven't played the darn game.
