Code assist does not appear to be working (existing period???) in Aptana Studio 2.0 on Ubuntu 9.10 with the PHP Development Tools plugin for PHP development. Does anyone in here use this or know if Zend Studio style code-assist works?

In the windows world I used Zend 5.5 and still do on my windows work laptop, but since switching to Linux I am looking for a free as in beer IDE that supports code assist etc. for PHP development.

Perhaps this is a better question for the Aptana forums?

Aptana 2.0 no longer support their own PHP plugin, instead they use PDT which is absolutely rubbish. If you want to use Aptana PHP you can download the 1.5.1 version of Aptana and then install the plugin from a zip file, instructions:

It appears to suck pretty bad. I'll go ahead and ask on the aptana forums. I'm close to trying out komodo as well.
