So, I'm exceptionally new to linux OS's and about equally new to networking. However, in the past, I have made it possible to share files between a Vista PC and a Vista laptop and a XBox 360. But when it comes to adding Ubuntu into the mix, my brain starts to leak.

Here's some specifics:
-Vista PC is connected to my modem and my Linksys Wireless router and is hosting the network
-Ubuntu PC has a wired connection to the Router and is supposedly on the network (it can connect to the internet through it's router connection)
-A laptop running vista is on the network wirelessly
-My 360 is wired to the laptop and is on the network

So, the question is, can I -- and how do I -- access the files kept on any of my non-Ubuntu machines?

Thanks,
RotB

Here (https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/internet/C/networking-shares.html) is one How-To for file sharing. Where Ubuntu is the client, this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1169149) one might help.
