View Full Version : 9.10 HP Mini 5101 freezes when network is disconnected

As the description says. Anyone else having these issues?
I am running Karmic Netbook Remix 9.10 with the latest patches and on occasion if you take out the network cord the machine completely freezes up.

bumpity bump bump bump.
Looks like it may be the restricted Broadcom STA Wireless Driver as it happened after i installed it.
This wasn't an issue in the development branch of ubuntu, only the actual release
Can anyone assist?

same thing here.
when I installed the restricted Broadcom STA Wireless Driver, it worked and found Wifi networks.. but after reboot nothing.
and when i plug in eth cabel it freezes for about 10 sec.
EDIT (one hour later) - everything workes.. i just removed and installed aganin restricted Broadcom STA Wireless Driver, and all is good now. :) ah (sigh).. HP and linux .. :)

This is still happening for me.
I have updated and reinstalled the drivers.
In fact sometimes it can't even detect the onboard network card and only wireless works

This is still an issue.
I am not seeing the onboard network card at all now.

Still having a problem with this.
It works fine with windows.
