Diablo 2 LoD update after install od Diablo 2

OK, have Diablo 2 running great on BB. Wanted to update to Lord of Destruction but says I have to install Diablo 2 first. Kinda ironic. Anyway, does anyone know a way to add LoD after the fact?

I had a very hard time installing LoD after the original Diablo on my machine using wine.

The install was fine, but LoD gave errors when ran. If you do a search for diablo in this forum there is a guid that has a link to a LoD install pack you can download and avoid the install program by copying mpqs from the cd.

I had to do a combination fo that and real installs to get it just right. The version for the one in the forums is 1.08 :( and it had problems updating. Keep fooling around and it should work eventually

I think its the music and another .mpq. What I may do is make a copy of my Diablo 2 directory, then update it and see what happens.

The franks corner one seems to work well too. I have it running with the latest version of wine. After you install D2, make sure you add the app Game_crack.exe to your wine cfg file, then under video, un-check "allow windows manager to control the windows" and that should give you full screen mode without the panel at the bottom. Im running it with a on-board 8 mb video too, and seems pretty good.
