Media players still attempt to forward output to client that isn't connected.

I connected to my desktop via ssh and forwarded X to my laptop yesterday. It's sweet! One problem though- now all of my media players are attempting to send output to my laptop, giving errors like "cannot open location" or, "cannot connect to (laptop ip address and port number)"

Any ideas guys? I tried to reboot, but no dice, the players seem to think that they are still connected.

Problem fixed itself... I'm still not sure how!
