Peeps have you seen OpenSolaris OS ? is it that good or not, any feedback or comments on this open source OS.

From what I have read about it is that it is more closer to being unix-like as opposed to Linux-like. Also from what I have read, a lot of hardware is not supported. This is just what I remember from reading about it. I can't vouch that it is accurate.

(Open) Solaris. (This also applies to NetBSD) has as main difference a different kernel, which means that the hardware driver is different. It is more posix compliant the linux is, but other than that it's just another unix. I like it's JavaDesktop and most applications for linux will also run on (Open) Solaris. For work I work a lot with Solaris and it's not bad. Although privately I prefer Ubunutu over anything.
