hi all,
i would like to hear your experiences on how to protect the kittens from tom. my cat which is female and has given birth several times. but so far not a single kitten has survived. all taken by the father tom or another.
not sure whether this makes a psychological effect on her.
now my cat has again become pregnant and this time i would like to protect the kitten.
i don't have a particular cage or box to put her. he usually roams all over the house.

suggestions are welcomed.
thank you very much:KS

I'm sorry this isn't a terribly productive answer, but I recommend you reduce your cats. you can only let pets cause you so many problems before they have to go.

man i mean, i feel pity for the mother cat. in long term point of view i don't keep all the cats, but one or two maximum and letting others to go on their own.

go on their own as in go out and live as wild cats or giving them away?

And I would suggest you kennel up daddy until the kittens have grown to a decent size and can defend themselves. Else get rid of him.

btw, could someone move this to the community cafe?

go on their own in the sense as wild cats or may be as street cats as no wilds here. its almost impossible to keep the daddy away, (im not 24 hours home).
btw, why would he eat the kittens while there are plenty of food elswhere?

GGGGGHHHHHrrrr,
sorry for posting in the wrong section, or it has been move here by mistakenly?
