Ubuntu resolution suport

I'm purchasing a monitor separate from my Wildebeest purchase. I have read some reviews on Amazon that Ubuntu can have trouble with certain resolutions. Here is one such comment,

"Ubuntu 8.10 is quite happy with 1920x1200 but cannot seem to do 1920x1080--at least with my hardware."

When purchasing a monitor, any native resolutions I should watch out for, that may cause trouble, or any other weird specifications I should keep an eye out for?

I doubt you will have any problems with either resolution. But... what graphics card are you getting, and I'll check.

The 9600 GT. I'm currently waiting for my Credit Union to add the new address, and then I'll send the purchase through. Should take ~30min. Thank you Tom.

Yep, it will handle both of those resolutions.
