Does E-Sword really work on Ubuntu 9.10?

I've read a lot of postings on this subject and have had E-Sword working on previous releases of Ubuntu and wine of course.

So, is there a process worked out to get E-Sword to work on Ubuntu 9.10?????

Has anyone summarized how to install E-Sword on Karmic Kaola? There is a 50+ page forum on E-Sword that dates back to 2007. Be nice to have an unambiguous and easy process to install E-Sword.

For karmic Koala, there are two choices.
1. Use the deb package, need to remove wine beta and winehqrepository
2. use the script (wine beta), just need to read the first post of this thread:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=404042

and post a reply if there are problems.
