It's a Emachine ET1161-05, I currently have a W3650 dual booting Ubuntu without any problems.

If it runs Ubuntu without any problems, it'll run Mint the same way. But installing a whole 'nother distro is more trouble than simply adding the codecs (http://medibuntu.org) and "green paint" yourself.
