I have mythbuntu 9.04 running.

I noticed it automatically records TV when I watch TV.

Is it possible to configure mythbuntu to record only when I want it to record?

Right now, it automatically records everything I watch but I don't want it to do so. I want it to record only when I choose to do so.

Thanks.

No that is not possible, but don't worry as I think it gets expired very quickly and shouldn't take up too much room.

It is this mechanism that allows you to pause/rewind/fast forward Live TV.

Live TV is cleared out by the backend pretty quickly, especially if it needs the space for a scheduled recording. I can see how you would be concerned about this if you have low storage space.

If you don't want live tv to show up in the recordings list, you can (from the recordings list) hit 'M', then choose 'Change group view' and un-select live tv. This will at least keep live tv stuff from cluttering your recordings list.
