Hey guys,

Two friends and I recently started a podcast and we recently purchased better quality mics (http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-Audio-750-DSP-Headset/dp/B000VEJGLY) which can be used as either analog or usb. I would like to know how I can record all three of them simultaneously with one computer (with a program such as audacity). Any help would be much apreciated.

Cheers,
THEREQUI3M

Hi!

What you need is a USB mixer. Basically it's a little box that all 3 mics plug into, and out from the box comes a USB cord that plugs into the computer. Audacity should record from it.

This (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001T9O5VG) is the kind of thing you're looking for.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, but are you sure that I can input usbs into that. From what I can tell it only takes analog and outputs as usb.

From the link you provided it looks like those Headsets will be able to have analog output.

Awesome, thanks. One more thing though, comparing the sizes of the analog inputs and the headsets analog size, I think that the inputs are bigger. Will I need some sort of socket or converter of some sort to go with it?

even if you need an adaptor, their really cheap.
go to the local dollar store or something and youll find them there.

p.s. if you want, i got an actual recording studio, your welcome to use it. (its actually a full recording studio)
jks.
