Hello everyone. I have been trying my best to figure out how to create a network bridge in ubuntu with no luck. My last attempt left me without any networking capabilities. No wireless or local...nothing. So since then I decided it would be best not to try and conquer this on my own. I would consider myself computer savy, but I don't know all that much about ubuntu. Regardless onto my situation/problem.

Here is my setup. I have a laptop that accesses the internet via wireless, and an Xbox that accesses my pc via crossover ethernet cord. My problem is that while I have my Xbox networked to my pc via ethernet, my pc is not able to access the internet o r download anything. I believe my goal is to bridge my wireless and ethenet connections so that my Xbox and laptop can have access to the internet at the same time.

Ummm not sure if this applies, but in my research I saw another possible solution. Something call internet connection sharing. I don't know what that really is or if that is something that is easier than creating a network bridge. Just thought I would add it in case it helps anyone who is kind enough to help me.

I'm running ubuntu 9.04 on a dell inspiron 6000. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Jack

Here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Internet/ConnectionSharing) is an ICS help page. Near the end is a link (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/ShareEthernetConnectionThroughWireless) to share via wireless.
