I plan to migrate from a Wubi install of Ubuntu to an install of Kubuntu to a dedicated paritition. I want to keep all of my Thunderbird email settings, accounts, address book and emails as well as my Firefox settings, bookmarks, plugins and their settings. What files and/or directoryies do I need to copy off and save. I realize I won't be able to see inside the Wubi "partition" from my new copy of Kubuntu.

Thanks,
Randy

Almost every setting is in your Home folder. Got here, press Ctrl+H and it'll show the hidden folders (the ones with dots in front of the names).

I think that if you copy the ".mozilla" folder, all your Firefox and Thunderbird settings will be saved. Not sure about Thunderbird though. I'd try it out first before deleting the old Wubi installation. :)
