This is my current GTK, and in it, both the Firebug and Statusbar boxes are checked, but checked boxes are not visible until they have been highlighted.

What must I edit to fix this? I don't know much about GTKRC files, so I don't know what I'm looking for and the guides I've read were all pretty vague.
