email notices / thread subscription

just wanted to suggest a change for the way we get emails when someone else posts to a thread we are subscribed.

an option for the user to choose whether
*receive one email until user visits thread
*receive emails everytime a new post is sent to the thread subscribed.

not sure if this is possible :-k

reason is, I like reading what people write in an email without having to go to the thread itself (takes long w. dial up, and this machine doesn't like javascript particularly ->cpu heat goes up). main reason is bc it takes long...

and asked about it on irc, where I was referred to the ubuntuforums feedback where I found this old thread.....
