Why do some threads not have the "go to last post tab on left of thread"

Long story short: Not all threads have enough pages or posts to warrant one.

The one on the left is 1st new post. If its not there you have already opened the thread and there are no new posts since you last opened it..

The one the right is always there and will take you to the last post.
