View Full Version : [ubuntu] 9.10 Doesn't support my wireless?

Hello Ubuntu Forums,

I had Ubuntu 9.04, and today I upgraded, however, the wireless isn't working. It did on all the other distros when I set it up (that was on an OpenSUSE distro), and then worked on every other one but this one. The wireless card (which is a PCMCIA WLAN 802.11b internet card) is detected (the detection symbols light up), but it doesn't show my wireless router, or any other for that matter, in the network connection.
It's an old laptop - a Compaq Presario 2100 (giving it to a friend, so I don't really use it anymore - I now have a new laptop). What's wrong?

Thanks,

TheTwilit

Check lshw -C network to verify card is active.
