I have two computers, a Toshiba Satellite running Ubuntu Jaunty, and a Dell Inspiron running Windows XP. I have successfully managed to network both computers to share folders, a task much easier in Ubuntu then in XP. But I have one other thing I need to do. I have an external hard drive that I keep plugged in to the XP computer. I want to be able to share the files on this drive over the network. However, the only way I've found to share files and folders in XP is to place these files in the Shared Files folder. I obviously can't place the drive in a folder, and I really don't know how else to approach it. I've tried placing a shortcut, and that didn't work. I didn't really expect it to, but it was worth a shot. Is there any way to share files in XP without having to place them in a single folder?

Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, just figured it out... Go figure. I've been trying for days to get this to work, and as soon as I cave and decide to ask for help, I figure it out. Thanks anyways everyone!
