Ubuxntu Eye Firefox Persona

This is my first attempt at creating a persona for firefox. The eye w/ubuntu logo came from a wallpaper that was posted by HousieMousie2 here in the forums. Most of the image is cut off by my browser (due to my screen resolution I think), but still looks pretty cool. Try it out and let me know what you think. The tar.gz contains the header and two footers. I want to post to firefox's persona page, but the header is nearly 400kb (300kb max). I'm new to gimp and don't know how to shed weight. Other personas on thier site seem to have more detail than this, so if any one can offer some pointers I'd be greatful.

my bad guys. here's a snapshot. and i figured out how why my files weren't accepted by firefox. i had to change to jpg from png, that cut its size to 1/3. the persona is now available on the persona page, titled ubuntu eye.
