Is there an advantage installing Dell Ubuntu ISO? Dell ISO file
is 1.8 Gb (heavy). Normal ubuntu is around 700 mb. Why is dell so much bigger?
Thanks

The only advantage I noticed (which is a lot) is Pulse-Audio with skype just works with the dell iso out of the box. I didnt have to fiddle anything. It just worked great. the con is you have to remove over a 1gb worth of translations and languages you dont need. There threw in there just about every language known to mankind

Other than the problems with the language removal which is replaced at the first upgrade, no problems. You get all the Dell Drivers for your Wifi, video boards and all included, nothing to replace because you changed system. It works for me.

so in summary
for those who install dual boot or ubuntu only on the drive, it works the same as the standard iso?

It does if you choose the second line for interaction with the installer. The first line, is for automatic installation where you will not be asked if you want any partitions, it continues on it's own like the computer already had this installation and it is replacing it. This was originally designed as a recovery CD.
