My wife has several old iMac DV's in her classroom that we inherited from a local computer shop -- I'm wondering about the possibility of setting them up as thin clients. Most of what I see on the web relating to ltsp and iMacs seems to be a couple of years old. Does anybody have recent experience with this sort of thing? As those machines get older and the software develops, is support for them improving in general, or are they being deprecated?

Thanks for any insights!

You may be able to do what you want under Ubuntu but I suspect that Debian will offer a better chance of success on PPC.

You might try the PPC version of Edubuntu. It has a LTSP server and is geared for setup in the classroom.

Thanks! I'll look into both of those. :D Oh, and out of curiosity again—state of Flash compatibility for PPC? Is there any? I heard it was bad.
