hi all, i have recently installed xubuntu 9.10 on my macbook 5-1, a few problems seem to be hindering my battery life.
i have installed the nvidia 185 drivers and updated my modules file so i can change the brightness, the problem is whenever i restart the brightness is full again, in AC and battery mode. is there a way to fix this to a certain brightness so that it doesnt change?
also i read the thread for battery life on macbookpro and how to reduce the wattage to low values, i tried this with my macbook and it didnt work ><
is there a similar solution for macbooks?

sorry forgot to add, im basically looking for ways to get the battery life extended, at present im getting about 2.5 hours and power usage is about 14W.
