I have already read some other forums. Seems that the best practice is...
"/" - 20-25GB. This should be enough for most of the Desktop installations.
"/home" - 30GB. This is for perdonal settings, my documents and firefoc downloads , Desktop!! (some people store many files on desktop) etc. Maybe this is too much if no data is stored in Home (just settings)

"/dataX"
All the rest /data* would be for movies, photos, music, installations etc.
Is this the right partitioning for Desktop distrubution and home computer??
Do we need to dedicate a partition for /usr, /usr/local?
