Upgrading to Karmic: Inspiron 1545

The Inspiron 1545 is a fairly popular laptop, so I was wodering if any Inspiron 1545 users here have done a network upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10, and how well that worked?

If I might suggest an alternative? Dell has a Ubuntu 9.10 recovery disk that is out at the following URL: http://en.community.dell.com/wikis/linux/building-base-ubuntu-factory-iso.aspx I had trouble with the plain Ubuntu not recognizing all my drivers, so I went this route and have nothing but praise for it.
