Hey all,

I have three systems running 8.10 currently just fine but I am wanting to load up my test machine with 9.10 to start studying up on changes to upgrade the rest of the machines.

My issues is, on the test machine, I load up the dvd and choose install mythbuntu every thing is fine until it loads the partition manager, I just get a blank screen I can go back in the process and try again but the same issue. The system is a sata dvd, sata 320Gb HD (Seagate) AMD CPU Single core and 2Gb of ram. Just a test machine really. The drive is not new and does have current linux partitions on it, but I can remove the 9.10 dvd and use the 8.10 dvd and 8.10 will install just fine.

I had this problem on the same machine when trying 9.04 and really did not spend any time investigating it.

Thanks,

Dave

All_Generic_Ide to the rescue, I would have assumed that fixed with the current ubuntu versions, since sata is the current defacto std in hard drives and cd/dvd's.

on to the next hurdle. LOL.
