Which pangolin is it? Is there a pattern to the beeps? How far, exactly, does it get before it shuts down?

First, re-seat your memory cards, and hard drive. It that doesn't fix it, it probably is an overheating issue. Make sure your CPU fan is plugged in and blow it out real good with canned (compressed) air.
If that doesn't work, contact me at support...at...system76...dot...com for further assistance.

one time i thought i had a sysbeep issue but it was really feedback from the microphone because it was not muted... Ubuntu seems to know to stop microphone/speaker feedback loop when fully running. When going into suspend i would get and ear-piercing screech that had a lot more pitch then the system beep.
Just saying, for the sake of the thread title. if the your computer is shuting its self down it is probably a real system issue...

I remember this happening to me on start up. I don't know what caused it, but it never happened again after I booted the system completely. Have you tried that?
