I'm currently embarking on a project to completely migrate to my Ubuntu Desktop machine, meaning that I need to transfer all of my documents, pictures, music, etc. (easy) and install Ubuntu Server on my Al PowerBook G4 (uh oh). The problem lies in the internet connection: my desktop machine is currently only connected to the internet through the PowerBook's sharing of its Airport Extreme connection over ethernet (Router > airport > PB > eth0 > Desktop). The main thing I need to know is how to enable my PowerBook's Airport Extreme (BCM4306 I think?) card without internet (I can download drivers, etc. beforehand if necessary). After that, setting things up to share the internet to the Desktop should be a snap. Also, I know 8.10 desktop was a pain to boot and PPC isn't really supported anymore, so some help with that would be greatly appreciated.
If this is too much to ask from Ubuntu, a guide to setting up Arch as a LAMP+FTP server on a PPC PowerBook G4 with Airport support would be greatly appreciated.
