Suspicious of Blocked Connections

Hey I'm new to Ubuntu/Linux and recently just did my first install. Everything is going great except when I installed firestarter and got it going, i get a blocked connection every minute or so all on the same port. I'm new to all this security stuff too so I don't know if I should be concerned about this. I googled a bit trying to find some help but with no real definate answers so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT - I restarted my cable modem and my linksys router and it has stopped the blocked connections....

Well, tell us the port number and the direction it was going in, and we might have a chance. My PC broadcasts a CUPS advert saying it has a pronter to share - it might be that.

Well I figured out the cause and now I feel like a moron. I was getting hit by bittorent trackers after I had shutdown the program. Thats why the connections were all directed at my open port for torrent.
