View Full Version : [ubuntu] SERP4 on Karmic - watching for filesystem corruption

I've just done a clean install of Karmic on my serp4. Previously, I've had filesystem corruption issues (within a few weeks of installation) of nearly every version I can remember installing. I don't mind braving the corruption; what I'd like to know is, are there any things I can watch for in particular (programs, logs, etc) that would clue me in to the corruption before it progresses to filesystem failure? Are there any preventive measures I can put in place to ward it off, in case it occurs?

It's supposed to be fixed in Karmic. Usually programs begin to crash and fsck runs too much.
