Every time I used ubuntu, I used Songbird with Ipod Support for obvious reasons. But in 9.10 I cant get my ipod to work with songbird even though the Addon is installed and working fine.

I am also having this issue with 9.10. I have an iPod touch so Im not sure if that is an issue?

The ipod touch has always worked different to the normal ipods for some unknown reason. But I have noticed in the latest version of ubuntu, things are less stable, and some things, such as ipod support, has vanished.

I think it might be because the touch and iPhone dont have disk mode.

Regardless, ipod support has gone, I assume its related to USB mounting.

Also if I remember right, touch and iphone need JailBreak

Temporary way around is to plugin what ever USB applience your working with, such as the ipod, whilst the computer is off. Then start it up and ubuntu will pick it up.

For some reason, it just cant find them when connected after boot.
