I need to try to recover some pictures and other files from my friend's eMac.
The problem is it only has 128MB ram, so I'm assuming no Ubuntu flavour will manage to run (I can't install at the moment, as I need to preserve data on the drive).
Any ideas about what I can do to attempt the file recovery? My last option is to remove the hard disk and connect it to my laptop with an USB enclosure, but I searched and found that the removal procedure can be a nightmare given the way the eMac is built.
Do you know of any lightweight Live CD that will allow me to boot with such low ram?
