Last time I checked it was quite slow, slower than Quake 3 and UT 2004....has the speed improved?

I may give it a try. I already liked the old version, but it had too much lags to be enjoyable at internet play. Since the new version claims to have a better net code, this might got better.

it HAS better netcode, check it out, realy, much faster, much less lag, its a joy to play it now :-)

It used to be slow in single player with open gl and 800*600....

While I applaud their effort, I don't think this is on the same level as UT yet. The graphics look great, but I get major slowdown whenever someone enters the same room I'm in, resulting in imprecise aiming. Maybe my system isn't up to snuff for this game. Its an Athlon xp2200 with 768MB ram and an ati 9600xt 128. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it, though.

try to modify the graphic settingt. specialy the dynamic shadow ones slow down the game.

it has bots for singleplayer, and they arent bad... but well, multiplayer is always more fun
