Hey all

What are some laptops that are especially build for linux (especially ubuntu and variants)?

What I mean is for example Macbook is build for Mac OS X, etc...

I don't really like subnotebooks, but if there aren't any "real" notebooks them I'm willing to look into the Eeepc...

Dell has some: www.dell.com/ubuntu

I don't know of "especially built" tho. :)

The Touchbook (http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/) is built from the ground-up to use Linux. But given that it uses an ARM processor it's hardly-surprising that it uses Linux. It ships with a custom-tweaked Angstrom/OpenEmbedded-based distro from what I understand, but it's reportedly capable of running the ARM port of Ubuntu, Android, etc...

Thanks for the replies. The touchbook looks whacky =P

I think I might opt for a subnotebook after all. I always wanted to try UNR/UMR
