Hey,

After installing Ubuntu 9.04 on my Inspiron 1520 laptop another issue came up. The Ubuntu network manager seems to be working properly. However, when I tried connecting to a wireless network at my uni - the manager didn't detect the uni's router. So I went to get some help from the uni's network support. Success ! I got it working. Although, when I came to uni again.. my laptop didn't detect the wireless network... again. I think it's a range problem because when I got connected to wireless for the first time the router was quite close ( although then I tried to go to different locations to increase the distance between the router and my laptop it still worked fine ).

Any ideas ? Thank you in advance ):P

BTW, luckily, I'm also using Windows XP and I nefer faced this issue. All wireless networks are always detected.

Broadcom STA Wireless driver (proprietary, non-Ubuntu) works on my Dell Inspiron 1525 with 9.04. I think that's the Dell driver, maybe (?) -- don't remember where I found it.
