hi all, running 5.10 breezy with a geforce5200. installed drivers 8178 according to the howto on this site, but games such as americas army crash repeatedly and randomly even with graphics set to ultra low...
can anyone shed any light on this?
im running an amd 2400+ (runs at 1.8gig) with 1gb ram
cheers in advance!

Also it would be helpful to see the output from 'glxgears' (typed in a terminal) that will tell if glx is loading and what your frame rates are.

Also could you be less coarse in your choice of terms. Topic titles such as '**** poor' just aren't appropriate.

is the howto i used.
glx gears runs and shows the gears turning ok, doesnt give any FPS tho neither as normal user or root.
3d accel does work for a bit but just crashes out randomly during games. especially ut2003, americas army and scorched3d
apologies for the topic title, as you can probably guess i was a little annoyed when i posted this :D
