I followed the instructions on http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=1554&iTestingId=1234
When I first did it, I did it the first way... it did the update glitch thing, stops at 26 first time. I didn't think to look down a little, and see all you had to do was kill and retry once... Well then I tried it the WineTools way... and got the error:
Please turn off 'compatibility mode':
- right-click Steam.exe
- select Properties
- go to the 'Compatibility' tab
- un-check 'Run this application in compatibility mode...'
I'm pissed off at my self... I should had read a little down and just stuck with what I had at the beginning... All I did between the first instillation and second was make a fake windows instalation, install all the basic stuff, and windows installer (needed for steam, it said when I first ran it, it said it depends on it). How do I fix this? Oh and the firts time I just installed it in /home/mofomikeman/steam/ (tried that again, didnt work, same error).
