Gnome And KDE on same install problem with Compiz

ok so sorry for bad grammar but this will definitely be readable.

so i have ubuntu 9.10 and i installed kde on it using terminal. i log into my kde session and it all goes well and i set my windows manager as compiz so i can have the cool effects that im used to on ubuntu and it works great! but, the theme that kde uses after applying compiz as my default wm is one of my beryl themes. i have no idea how to change this. any help?

edit: im pretty sure i want to use metacity themes while using compiz at the same time.

actually how do i use any theme with compiz besides emerald? kde wont let me use the default themes when compiz is on..

EDIT: okay im confused with kde........................ someone please explain some of this to me......... im not going to bump this again because im probably going to figure it out now that i know a bit more.
