Hi,

Looking at the ubuntu.com website the animated image appears to show that with 9.10 it is possible to view all your workspaces on the same screen at the same time. And they all have different backgrounds!

Is this correct and if so how can it be done?

That's the "Expo" feature of Compiz, isn't it? I'm not sure about the pictures on different desktops, but it's probably a new Gnome feature.

Where are you seeing that? I was just looking and I can't see that feature mentioned. It sounds pretty cool. Could you post the link?

It is on the frontpage of Ubuntu.com. If you wait a short while the image will change and show. See this if not sure http://www.anotherusefor.com/img/Ubuntu_Screenshot.jpg.

Ummm...sorry to tell you this....but that is an altered photo... They are just showing off the different default wallpapers. That's not Expo...

Ah Well. It would have been nice to have. Hardly worth showcasing though, I would have thought.

??? Desktop Wall effect from compiz will do that...

also, if you have a cube, pressing control+alt+down_arrow will unfold it for you.
