Hello, I installed ubuntu a few months ago, but the baterry performace it was so bad. But I never tried to fix this aspect, so I use parallels, but now I want to have a better experience about this SO in my MacBook.
So, Does the battery performance is equal or similar to Leopard?

On mine it's not good either (MacBook 2,1). I will try to tweak a few things according to:

See if that helps. If you want I can report how that worked out for me.

Battery performance on your Macbook running ubuntu will be subpar to that while running on OSX. The same is true when running under windows as well.
I'm sure the more technically astute folks can chime in on the reasons, but in a sense its a little immaterial, it is what it is.
At least you have a MacBook, My MacBook Pro running a dual GPU has awful battery performance because there's no way for me to switch to the 9400m GPU, I run the gas guzzling 9600m :(

You did not mention which MacBook you have, but I'd say your good to go with the latest release (9.10)?
