Has anyone tried to install Karmic Koala in an ibook G3? I'm thinking in upgrading, but I don't know if this is a wise decision....

iBook G3?
What ubuntu are you currently running?
(p.s. G3's are REALLY slow..... I guess it depends on which Ubuntu you're running now...)

Have 9.04 installed. Connecting to my Netgear router using WPA is really flaky on 9.04. If there is any hint that this may have been fixed in Karmic, I'd think about giving it a try.

Ok, if it's already running 9.04, i guess 9.10 would be fine.
(Just wondering, is 9.04 on the ibook good or not?)

Hi again Randy,

I have tried to install 9.10 from the alternate disk image (don't know why I chose that one) and was unsuccessful, because once fully installed, it didn't recognise the user/password combination (I made sure there were no keyboard issue or what have you). That's why I just installed 9.04. Will there be something like a full upgrade like on the mainstream machines ?
