Alsa Modular Synth

Does anyone know what the "Follow MIDI Controller" and "Init MIDI Controller" options mean in Alsa Modular Synth?

I am trying to get AMS to feedback midi settings to my BCR2000 control surface when I load a preset but so far, no joy.

Any ideas

For that matter is their anyway to get feedback to work from Bristol synth presets to the control surface
