View Full Version : [SOLVED] 9.10 RC DVD playback resolution

Mythbuntu 9.10 rc all updates (64-bit):
On a clean install of 9.10 rc with all codecs enabled I get clean, clear video playback of .avi, .mkv, .vob and any other NFS networked files I throw at mythvideo. However, when I tried the DVD player (Optical Drive) the playback was degraded. The text of the mythbuntu menu was almost unreadable and the DVD would play but the picture is not fitting on the screen (it is getting cut off on what appears to be all 4 sides).
Anyone have similar issues and/or have any suggestions for fix?
(Note: on a test with VLC outside of mythbuntu the dvd played and looked fine.)

Thanks,
J.

EDIT: the issue is with the default setting for aspect and zoom being something other than 'Auto'. Once changed to Auto and 16x9 it works, however, the setting are not kept from session to session making it a frustrating problem.
