Is there a way to have Ubuntu automatically pause sound playback or perhaps mute sound when the headphones are unplugged like a Mac?
This way, if you're listening to something and you accidentally unplug your headphones, everyone else doesn't get to hear what you're listening to, and it also doesn't disturb them ;)
Perhaps it could be an optional feature for 10.04, or is there a script someone has made for karmic?
I'm sure with the new pulse audio features in karmic this can be done easy enough.
