Have VMWare Server 2.01 installed on Windows 7. Am running Ubuntu Server 9.04 as a guest. Initially only had a single NIC configured to HostOnly when I installed. Afterwards I realised that a bridged NIC would be useful as well so I could apt-get some more packages. The trouble is that using the webinterface to add a second NIC seems to have no effect on what I see in the guest OS. running ifconfig only shows the single NIC and the loopback device and not my newly added Bridged NIC. Am I missing something really simple here?
