I currently have my music and videos stored on a freeNAS server and allow nfs shares from there to my network.
I have several other Ubuntu 9.04/9.10/8.04 desktops running and NFS shares are working.

Mythbuntu setup: combo front/back
I loaded 9.10 RC this weekend. I don't do any TV recording and simply use mythbuntu for a media player for the networked media.

I setup in /etc/fstab NFS share mounts for both my music and videos. The odd part is that the music is seen by mythbuntu and the videos are not. I mount with.
192.168.xxx.xxx:/mnt/to/media/video /var/lib/mythtv/videos nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr
I used the same line and changed it for music.

Both mount sucessfully and if I got to /var/lib/mythtv/video or music in Thunar I see the files.

In mythbuntu I noted that in
Utilities/setup/media setting/music settings/general settings
There is a "Directly to hold music" which is populated with /var/lib/mythtv/music/

However, in the
Utilities/setup/media setting/video setting/general setting
The "Directory that hold videos" was empty after initial install. Then after I manually entered /var/lib/mythtv/videos/ the video manager shoes nothing and there are no videos to play.

Anyone have anything similar or any solutions?
Thanks,
J.

Did you scan for changes in MythVideo?

Wow, that was crazy easy and I feel real stupid. I guess this is a lesson in 'get to know your interface' and options.

Thanks,
J.
